Avett Brothers Ride with me Across NC

You may have heard me talk about my drive back from the Coast of NC to Indianapolis. I only had a three CD's two of them the Dropkick Murphys to keep me awake and the Avett Brothers which I listened to over and over again on my 880 mile drive.Great ride, great stereo, great link to my roots in Ohio to North Carolina to Indianapolis all mentioned in their CD Emotionalism which I had first heard about from sleekpelt. Thanks Mr Pelt and most of all thanks to the Avett Brothers, keep making noise.Thank you also Dropkick Murphys, you all may have caused me serious hearing loss, but the good kind I suppose.

That's awesome, Josh, I didn't know you had gotten into them. I learned most of Emotionalism on my guitar last night. So hooked on these guys....

Oooh, cute hippies! I just loooove cute hippies! They look like San Francisco guys. Have you listened to Vetiver? I think you might like them, maybe. . .

They're pretty good; I'd never heard of them.

Reminds me of the couple of small, decent nuggets of good folksy-inspired music from the 70s.

The Royal James Cafe looks like another one of them places where a feller could get one o' them fancy San Francisco Sarsaparilla's.

I got me a hankerin' for one of them about now, I reckon.

Wonder if the Piggly Wiggly carries them, or if I have to mosey on over ta the A&P??

zen: The Royal James is a great place for a poultry dog, with secret sauce.About the only time I eat hot dogs is at the Royal James.
I stopped in with my folks we had 5 dogs a large order of frys (to split) and 3 soft drinks for $12. and some change. Great place to take a date. Best dogs on the coast.
I own a Piggly Wiggly T shirt, the same type the employees wear, it does not fit me so I rarely wear it but I love the dickens out of the pig. JW

Is the Royal James Cafe in 19th-century Texas?!

sleek: It was for the longest time but an eccentric old sailor bought it around the turn of the 20th century and had it move by rail in pieces to Beaufort NC .
